Android testers

To publish on Google Play, a new developer needs 12 testers opted in for 14 continuous days. That requirement is where a lot of finished games stall, one step from the finish line. This page collects testers and hands them to approved developers.

1

Sign up once

Leave your Google Account address and confirm by email. That's it.

2

A developer asks

We review every request by hand and only pass the list to approved developers.

3

You get an invite

An opt-in link for their closed test. Install it, and keep it installed.

I want to test games

New Android games before anyone else, for free.

Doesn't have to be Gmail — any address registered as a Google or Workspace account. Without a Google Account you can't join a Play test at all.

We'll email you a confirmation link. Your address isn't given to anyone until you click it.

What you're committing to

Installing the game and keeping it installed for 14 continuous days. Uninstall partway and Google resets that tester's clock to zero — the developer starts over. If that doesn't suit you, better not to sign up.

I need testers

Tell us about your game and we'll send you the list.

This is where the list goes if we approve it.

From Play Console. It only appears once your closed test is published.

Every request is reviewed by hand. The list is never published anywhere on the site.

What happens to your address

  • The list is never published on the site, and no URL on the site returns it.
  • Addresses go only to manually approved developers, and only so they can add you to a closed test.
  • We don't run a newsletter. The only emails from here are your confirmation and test invitations.
  • Every email we send carries a one-click removal link.
